Golden Prairie RBA Show Results

Saturday was the show in Lafayette, IN hosted by the GPRBA.  They had a very nice turn out – close to 2900 rabbits is the number I heard floating around.

Abby and I were up at 4:00 am and on the road by 4:30.  Ugh.  Abby was my number one right-hand-gal.  She is such a good helper.  We only took 2 senior animals – both SSB’s.  The other 13 were all juniors.  All my senior does are bred or have litters.  We took two of Ki’s juniors with us since she wasn’t able to attend and Abby put them on the table for her.  Tony Cox was there – we don’t get to see him very often, so chatting with him was nice.  He is a well known and respected Holland breeder so I was hanging on his every word.

We didn’t do so hot in the HHLC Specialty show, winning only one class – BJD with KKR’s Izabelle.  That gave Iz her 2nd junior leg.

The show-proper went much better!  GBF’s Caden won the SSB class.   GBF’s Taber earned his 2nd leg by winning the SJB class.  And Karrot Kreek’s Quay won the SJD class for us and Taber’s littermate sister, Courtenay, took 2nd.  It’s so nice to have three of the four animals up for group!  Caden won BOG and Quay was BOSG.

In the brokens, we had no senior animals.  We took 2nd BJB with GBF’s Chip Shot.  And then 1st and 2nd in the BJD class with KKR’s Izabelle and Dowling’s Calla.  Izabelle was chosen as BOSG.  Slight tangent here…

It’s kinda nice…. I purchased Calla from Scott Dowling up at the Ann Arbor show.  Scott is a color breeder and just “doesn’t do” torts.  I kept thinking she was a pretty nice looking little doe and couldn’t believe he was going to sell her.  I snatched her up,  not only because she was nice, but because she also carries dilute and chocolate.   Fun, fun.  I was thinking I would show her until she was old enough to breed.  But, she has been consistently pulling 2nd places in the shows I’ve taken her to, so maybe the breeding will have to hold off for a bit!

Once again, it was nice to have 3 of the 4 rabbits up for BOB/BOS!  Caden won BOB and Quay took BOS.  That was nice!

I don’t think we were out of there until 6:30 pm since we had to stick around for 4-Class.  It sure made for a long day.  But, Abby and I had a good time.

Net 10

New Litters Update:

Little Bit continues to do well.  He is 7 weeks today and has gained a whopping 1.5 ounces since last week.  At least, he is putting on some weight.

Of the 8 does I had due this past week, results were slim:

GBF’s Tahlia x Emmet – 5 kits on the wire.  This was the first time she had ever been bred and her first delivery, so I knew the odd’s a having a live litter (or any litter for that matter) were if’y.

ARR’s Shmadzu x GBF’s Pistol Pete – 3 chestnut kits doing well.  Finally!  She missed the last 2 times I bred her.  So, I’m happy to have these 3 kits out of her.

GBF’s Triskit x GBF’s Tyraid  – 4 kits in a huge fluff of wool, 1 is a peanut though.  2 orange, 1 tort.  Reliable Triskit!

ARR’s Supersymetry (Suzy) x White River’s Troy* – 2 kits, 1 was DOA.  Fostered to Tallie.  Disappointed there were only 2 kits total and only 1 alive, but she also missed the last 2 times I bred her, so I’ll take this one live kit!

White River’s Cora x GBF’s Caden – 3 kits, but 2 peanuts.  Looks black, could be a Siamese Sable.  Fostered to Triskit.  This was the first time I had bred Cora, so I’m at least happy she can produce life.

GBF’s Fianna x White River’s Dino – appears to be a miss.  First time ever bred and he only got her 1 time, so I was not optimistic.

L&R Sedalia x Broo’s Chase – 4 kits DOA in the box.   This was disappointing since Sedalia is a proven mom.  I’m blaming this on the unseasonably cold weather we have been experiencing.

ELS Tallie x GBF’s Tobias – came home from the show yesterday to find 4 ice cold kits in the box.  I was able to revive 2 of them.  They are also rooming with Triskit’s growing family for the time being.  I will probably put Suzy’s kit with Tallie’s two and keep Cora’s 1 kit with Triskit’s brood.  7 kits is too many for Triskit to take care of.

So, out of 8 bred does,  7 actually delivered kits – so that was pretty good.  However, out of those 7 does I only have 13 live kits, 3 of which are peanuts and will not survive.  So, a net of 10 live kits for the week.  That is a pretty depressing low number.  Oh, well.  Better than none I guess.

NCIRBA Show

Ki and I went to the show in Nappanee yesterday.  The club picked a new venue for this fall show and it was GREAT!  30 minutes from my house (at the most), heated building (and floor!), LARGE building, tons of parking, and home made Amish/Mennonite donuts and goodies at the kitchen.

I had a lot of 2nds in the HHLC Specialty show, including a 2nd with my youngest SJB that I took – GBF’s Taber out of L&R Donna x GBF’s Tyraid.  The head and wrap around crown on this guy in SOOO nice.  KKR’s Izabelle, out of GBF’s Kuala Bear x GBF’s Annabelle earned her 1st leg with a 1st place in the BJD class.

Fared much better in the show proper, winning BOB with GBF’s Caden (his first senior leg to Grand with!) and BOS with GBF’s Mika.  That also gave Mika her senior leg needed to grand with.  Yea!!  GBF’s Taber won his class of 13 to earn his first leg.   Such a cutie!!   I almost didn’t bring him because I thought he was just too little yet.  Now I wish I would have brought his sister GBF’s Courtenay!  She has the same beautiful head and crown but I wasn’t sure she was big enough to warrant taking her.

RVRC Show

Yesterday was our local River Valley Rabbit Club Show here in South Bend, IN.  It’s always a nice show and an easy one for us to attend since it is so close.   If you have not come to this show before, you really should give it a try!  It was really nice especially, since several of my angora friends from Illinois came with their Angora’s and Jerome was there with his.  So, there was a nice large showing of Angora’s.  I entered 6 and forgot to tattoo one of them.  Dah.

GBF’s Byrd, my senior white doe, won BOB.  It’s Byrd’s first leg, so I was very happy.  Her coat has really developed density as she has matured!  Before the show, I sold my best colored junior buck to a teen-age youth from Goshen.  I told her it was the best one I had for sale, so I was hoping he would do well for her.  Well, Reginald (as she decided to name him) did well.  He took BOS and earned his first leg.  I was very happy for Morgan.  Congratulations!

We didn’t fair as well in the Holland world yesterday, but that’s the way the ball bounces sometimes.  Carla Wilson was our Holland Judge.  GBF’s Mika did get BOSG (earning her 2nd leg) and our little 12 week old broken buck, GBF’s Chip Shot won his class and earned his first leg.  Yea!

I was especially happy for two of my youth pals.  Emily won BOS with GBF’s Penny.  Penny took 2nd at our county fair in July.  This was Emily’s first real ARBA show, so she was thrilled that her bunny did so well, and loved her big rosette.  Then Ki won BOB with one of her bunnies.  YEA to both of you!!

So, we all had a good time.

I wanted to share this picture of Emily’s little brother Ethan.  I have a little Holland that is just a bit over 4 weeks old and he seems to have developed enteritis.  Emily and her family were over to pick up a carrier for the show and we discovered the little bunny had issues.  So, we brought him in and Ethan was my little ‘vet assistant’.  He did such a good job!  I couldn’t believe it.  I gave the bunny some Neomycin and Ethan carefully syringed water into it’s little mouth.  Then did a great job of  feeding it some baby food.

Ethan feeding "Garden Vegetables" baby food to sick bunny.

Ethan feeding "Garden Vegetables" baby food to sick bunny.

I gave the little guy another dose of Neomycin last night after the show, since his diarrhea was worse.  He seems to be better this morning – no wet bottom.  But, I am cautiously optimistic.  I have seperated him from his mom and siblings and am giving him only oats, hay and baby food.  I HATE losing bunnies to enteritis and can sometimes save them.

Big Day at Elkhart County 4H Fair

Yesterday the girls and I high-tailed it over to Goshen as soon as Abby finished up with band practice, arriving just in time for the 4-Class judging in the rabbit barn.  I was anxious to watch the rabbit show since I had sold bunnies to three families in this county.  Ki (one of the youth who has purchased several rabbits from me) had been texting me to keep me updated on what was happening.  GBF’s Talora won the SSD class,  GBF’s Jessie won SJB and GBF’s Annie won SJD.  Annie was chosen as BOV and Jessie for BOSV.  So Ki was really thrilled.  Then they were chosen for BOB and BOS!

The Staltari girls won the BJB class with an offspring of GBF’s Tyraid x GBF’s Cassandra.  Yea!

Like I was saying, we got there just in time for 4-Class.  Todd Naragon had judged the Hollands and was also choosing 4-Class, (which I told Ki was a good thing).  Todd gave Annie a second look-over, along with a couple of other candidates and then made the announcement that the Holland Lop was the winner!  How exciting!!  Annie is a really nice looking young doe, but I wasn’t sure a Jr. Doe could pull off 4-Class.

Meanwhile, a Silver Fox (I believe) was picked as B6C.  So, it was down to Annie and a Silver Fox for Best In Show.  Chuck Pelham was the judge for this.  He made a fairly quick assessment, and…. drum roll please…. picked Annie again!!!  Ki won Best in Show!!  Yea!  Bells & Whistles.  Annie’s grand-sire is GC ELS Elden, who was a BIS winner himself at the 2007 St. Joseph County 4H Fair.

Needless to say, I will be repeating that breeding!  It was a good day for the colored Hollands of the world.  Did I mention that Annie is an Orange?

I want to say “Good Job” to Taylor Berkey and Izzabella & Anna Staltari who also showed some GBF rabbits.  All your rabbits looked really nice and you could tell that you had been working with them!!  I hope you had fun.

Memorial Day Weekend

The weekend started on a sad note.  Friday, I decided that White River’s Darby and ELS’s Lucy should be put to sleep.  They were both Grand Champions.  A couple of weeks ago, Darby absorbed a litter and then within a couple of days develop Wry Neck.  I immediately quarantined her and followed the recommendation I found on the internet (Barbie Brown).  It helped slightly, but I decided that she would never be a viable producer again and worried about her quality of life.  My dear Lucy, had aborted a litter back in November and never recovered properly.  She just wasn’t the same Lucy.  She developed something in her front leg joints that almost appeared arthritic.  The one joint had an abscess that refused to heal.  I became concerned that it was Pasturella and decided it was best that she be put to sleep also.  So, it was a sad drive to the vet’s office.

Saturday, Ki and I attended the show in Muncie, IN.  There was not a large Holland contingent, but large enough for some legs to be earned.  I was thrilled for Ki, as GBF’s Talora won BOB in Show A for the Youth.  Talora was also mentioned as one of the top 4 in the Best 4 Class.

Here is how my bun’s did:

Show A

GBF’s Topeka – BOB – Broken Sr. Doe

GBF’s Oscar – BOSV – Solid Sr. Buck

GBF’s Tahlia – BOV – Solid Sr. Doe

GBF’s Fianna – 1st – Solid Jr. Doe

Congratulations to Sue Mars for winning BOS with a gorgeous broken buck!

Show B

GBF’s Fianna – BOB – Solid Jr. Doe

GBF’s Denarius – BOS – Broken Jr. Buck

(Note:  Fianna & Denarius are littermates!)

GBF’s Topeka – BOV – Broken Sr. Doe

GBF’s Oscar – BOSV – Solid Sr. Buck

GBF’s Tess – 1st – Broken Jr. Doe – not quite 12 weeks old

So, it was a very good day (7 legs I believe) but oh so hot.  I’m really glad I did not bring my EA’s along.  The show was nicely managed and held in big building.  Things moved along at a good pace.  Definately a show that I will return to.  Thanks for hosting it, Deleware County RBA!

Friday night I picked up my two new does from Linda Jinings (L&R in Oregon).  Both of them are SO nice.  I’m excited about the prospect of breeding them.  They are proven does and will go so nicely with ELS’s Elden and his son Tobias.  L&R Sedalia is a half-sister to L&R Cookie.  Both does are related to ELS Elden via L&R Carlyle and L&R Mylie.

I also picked up a little doe from Sue Mars, sired by ELS’s Florence (Tommie’s Rootbeer x CN’s Lavinia).  Rootbeer is ELS Tallie’s sire and Lavinia is ELS Elden’s dam.  The dam’s to Tallie and Elden are sisters.   So, I’m excited about this breeding prospect.

Yesterday, I ended up inducing GBF’s Bridgette.  She was two days overdue and her previous two litters both had stuck kits.  I could feel the kit(s) moving in the morning but she showed no signs of labor.  Late morning I gave her a shot of Oxytocin then sat and waited.   The Oxytocin worked – she managed to push out a giant kit far enough for me to help her pull it out.  I’ve not paid much attention before, but this kit was born bottom first – not head first.  Is this common in rabbits?  I know in livestock, this would be a bad thing.  There have been no other kits born yet, so hopefully she is done.  The next time I breed her, I will make a point to breed her to a very small buck.  Maybe that will help.  Why does the first kit have to be the giant?  Why can’t it be the last kit??

GBF’s Andra is due today.  Hopefully, this will go OK.  She missed last month.

Whew, seems like there was so much to write about.  Now, I’m off to look for a particular birthday present for Haley.  She is a big 13 now!

Another Weekend, Another Show

A show was held Saturday specifically to benefit Breast Cancer in Sterling Heights, MI (basically Detroit).  It was a triple Holland and Mini-Rex show.  How can you pass up a ‘triple’??  So, I got up at the wonderful hour of 3:45 am (do you know how early that is?!?) to start the drive.  I picked up my friend Stacy and her daughter Ki and we were off (my girls were with their Dad this weekend).  We made it to the show without incident about 8:15 am.  It was held in a small church and it was a beautiful day.  The turn out was very good.  The judges donated their time and several extra little fund raisers were held to benefit Breast Cancer, including the “Poop Squares”.

Don’t know what Poop Squares are?  Numbered squares are sold – $1 per square I think.  A rabbit is placed into a cage that has a numbered grid in the drop try.  The first square that gets pooped on wins.  How fun is that?!  It took the Holland forever to finally fulfill his duty.  I think they went through 3 or 4 rabbits before one of them finally ‘took care of business’!

My friend Keith Becki was there so we got to catch up.  He brought me a cutesy little tort doe (just a little tyke) and a gorgeous tort buck.  Those of you who don’t know, Keith doesn’t ‘do’ torts.  Lucky me!  He works mainly with chocolate varieties and otters.

I took several Solid Sr. Bucks – however, all but one of them just turned Sr.  Here is how my bun’s did:

Show A:

SSB – GBF’s Caden – 5th of 16 (he just turned Sr. this week)

BSD – GBF’s Topeka – BOV

SJD – GBF’s Aislinn – 2nd of 11 (3 1/2 months old)

SJD – GBF’s Fianna – 4th of 11 (3 months old)

BJB – GBF’s Elias – 2nd

BJD – GBF’s Baron – 2nd

Show B:

SSB – GBF’s Caden – 3rd of 17 (just turned Sr this week)

SSD – GBF’s Tahlia – 1st:  This was Tahlia’s 3rd leg and her first senior leg, so she granded.  Yea.

SJD – GBF’s Fianna – 2nd of 11

BSD – GBF’s Topeka – BOSV

BJB – GBF’s Elias – 2nd

BJD – GBF’s Baron – 1st

Show C:

SSB – GBF’s Caden – 2nd of 16 (just turned Sr)

SSB – GBF’s Ritz Bitz – 4th of 16 (very young Sr)

SSB – GBF’s Tyraid – 5th of 16

SSD – GBF’s Tahlia – 4th

BSD – GBF’s Topeka – 3rd

Holland Lop Nationals

What a fun trip to York, PA!  The girl’s and I left for Pennsylvania Thursday afternoon, after stopping to pick up a fellow youth rabbit enthusiast.   We drove to about half way and stopped for the night, then continued on the next morning.   Mapquest failed us with some wrong directions in York, but we finally found the Expo Center and got the rabbits checked in without any problems.   The Convention Hotel was very nice and conveniently located to the Expo Center.

It was really nice to be able to put faces with the names of breeders that I’ve heard about and rabbitries that I’ve drooled over on-line.  I was able to meet the Washburn’s, Tony Cox, Tracy & Jenna of THF Saynora, Jason Coin, the folks from Y&K, Mrs. Yoder from CSR and others.

All along, I was thinking I would probably be really humiliated with our success on the tables since this is where ‘the big boys play’ and was hoping to place in the upper half of the classes and would be really happy with a placing in the top 25%.  Well, here is how we did:

GBF’s Caden — 2nd place SJB out of 79 entries! Caden was 3rd Place in the Specialty Show on Sunday!!

GBF’s Tahlia — 5th place SSD out of 61 entries! Tahlia was 19th Place of 47 entries in the Specialty Show on Sunday!!

GBF’s Topeka — 9th place BSD out of 38 entries! Topeka placed 9th again of 30 entries in the Specialty Show on Sunday!!

GBF’s Talora — 21st place SSD of 61 entries!

(Note that Tahlia, Topeka and Talora are littermates.)

GBF’s Elias — 14th place BJB out of 46 entries! Elias was 2nd Place of 19 entries in the Specialty Show on Sunday under Judge Allen Ormond!!  Local breeder Stephanie Valentine took 1st place with her lush buck.

So, wow.  Five of the six rabbits we took placed.  Three of them in the top 10.  I hadn’t planned on going to the Banquet but quickly changed my mind at the end of the day on Saturday.  The awards were stained glass Holland’s and some etched glass pieces.  There was some murmuring when Abby was called up for the 5th place SSD award.  The girls and I show in Open.  So, when little Abby went up to receive an Open award for Tahlia, I think people thought there was a mistake.  She was so proud!

Abby entered Ritz Bitz and Ki entered Hopkins in the Fun Show.  It was judged by Groups, rather then by Solids and Brokens.  Both girls and their bunnies got 2nd places.  They brought their special bunnies with them for the trip as they couldn’t bear to be away from them for so long.  It was cute.

So, we are home now and the bunnies are put away.  Of course, I couldn’t come home without something new to add.  I have a SSD from Tony Cox, a SJB from BBC, and a BSD from THF Saynora.   Anxious to see what happens with some breedings with these new rabbits!

Much Needed Pictures

There has been so much going on this past week, but have finally gotten around to some pictures for you to see.

IRBA Results

The bunnies and I went to the Illinois RBA Show this past weekend in Bloomington.  It was quite a haul, but I’m really glad that I went.  In Show A, GBF’s Topeka won BOB.  This was her 6th leg and her first as a senior.  So, I can send her paperwork in now for her Grand Champion Certificate.  She went on to win Best 4-Class!  I was so thrilled.  This is the first 4Class win for me, and it was with a rabbit that I bred myself.

GBF's Topeka with her B4C Plaque.

GBF's Topeka with her B4C Plaque.

All told, I brought home 5 legs: one for Topeka with B4C,  GBF’s Caden 1st place SJB, GBF’s Baron BOSG, GBF’s Elias BOS, and GBF’s Cadee 1st SJD.

GBF’s Emmet

This is Emmet.  Isn’t he a cutie?!  This is the little broken buck out of ELS Elden and ELS Tallie.  Check out those short, stubby little front legs and wide, open ear.   This was a repeat breeding based on how well it worked last time (Tokeka, Tahlia, Talora & Tobias).

A Long Weekend in Michigan

This girls and I are back from our trip to East Lansing, MI for the MSRBA Spring Convention.   It seems recently that this is the way the shows go… you wait and wait for the Hollands or EA’s to be called and then… they call them both at the SAME time.  Man, I hate it when that happens.  The girls were put in charge of the Holland’s while I took care of the Angora’s.  There were a lot of them there!  And LOTS of colors!! It was so nice to see that many English in one place.  There was a lady from OH and the “Canadian Contingent”, as I call them.  🙂  I was not expecting to really do very well, as all I had to show were 4-month old Juniors.  But, Miss Frenau (my Blue) took a 2nd and a 3rd and Byrd (white) took a 2nd and a 1st.

There are many VERY good Holland breeders in Michigan and the competition is indeed tough – I’m talking breeders that compete at the National level – Stephanie Valentine, Brenda Dumas, Chris Plank, Gina Grasso & Amy Dedrick for starters.  I left home hoping for 1 leg for the weekend.  I went to watch, listen and learn.  Oh, ya – chit chat!  Everyone is very nice and we all have a great time.

Saturday’s show was judged by Brian Hartzell.  Some of the classes were quite large.  This is how we did on Saturday:

  • SSB = White River’s Arden – 7th of 33
  • SSD = White River’s Belle – 2nd of 13 (she lost on coat – she has been molting).  The gorgeous Black doe that beat her, ownded by Dan Erz, ended up winning BOB!  I can handle a 2nd to the BOB rabbit!  🙂
  • SJB = GBF’s Caden – 1st of 26 and BOSV – his 2nd leg
  • SJB = GBF’s Ritz Bitz – 7th of 26 – he continues to get nice comments
  • SJB = GBF’s Oscar – 9th of 26
  • BJB = GBF’s Elias – 1st of 9 – “beautiful and built right”; his 2nd leg at not quite 4 mths old
  • BJD = GBF’s Topeka – 1st of 12 – “solid body”; her 3rd leg

It boiled down to a very good day.  I was very pleased with how we did.  We went back to the hotel, changed into clean clothes and then went hunting for a place to eat dinner.  Have you heard of db Mongolian Grille?  We gave that a try.  It was so much fun.  The girls loved it.  It’s the type of place where you fill a bowl with various meat, veggies and sauces and then it is grilled in front of you on this enormous (8′ diameter maybe) round grill.  There were 4 guys flippin’ and choppin’ and tossin’ things around – sometimes breaking into a chant or song.  It was very entertaining.  When done, the food is whipped onto a plate and back to the table you go to dig in.  Yum.

Back at the hotel we watched a movie and pigged out on birthday cake to celebrate Abby’s birthday a little more.  We were all so tired.

The Specialty Shows were all on Sunday.  For us, that was a double Holland and a single Angora.  Jeremy Watmuff judged the first Holland Show.  There were not near as many entries as on Saturday.  Where did everybody go??

  • SSB = GBF’s Tyraid – 5th of 13 (he is a young Sr.  He needs to mature some more before trying to compete against the 2 year olds out there).
  • SSD = White River’s Belle – 2nd of 13 (she lost on coat again to the same Black doe!)
  • SJB = GBF’s Caden – 3rd of 14
  • SJB = GBF’s Oscar – 5th of 14
  • SJB = GBF’s Ritz Bitz – 6th of 14
  • SJD = GBF’s Tahlia – 1st of 13
  • SJD = GBF’s Talora – 2nd of 13
  • BJB = GBF’s Elias – 2nd of 9 – “lacks maturity”
  • BJD = GBF’s Topeka – 1st of 12 and BOSV; brings her to 4 legs
  • BJD = GBF’s Baron – 5th of 12 – “lacks maturity”, she isn’t 4 months old yet

The 2nd show was judged by Pam Jones.

  • SSB = White River’s Arden – 6th of 13
  • SJB = GBF’s Oscar – 2nd of 15
  • SJB = GBF’s Ritz Bitz – 4th of 15
  • BJB = GBF’s Elias – 1st of ?? – 3rd leg and not even 4 months old yet.
  • BJD = GBF’s Topeka – 1st of ??, BOSV, BOS! 3 legs for the weekend!

So,  it was a GREAT weekend!!

Hoosier Classic Rabbit Show

We people that show rabbits must not be quite right in the head at times because I got up at 4:00 am yesterday morning, a Sunday, when I could be sleeping in, to drive to a rabbit show near Indianapolis.  I almost didn’t go because it seemed ridiculous to go out to the cold barn and load up all the bunnies and then drive almost 3 hours to a rabbit show.  Well, turns out that I’m really glad I went.  (You knew there had to a point to all of this, huh?!)

This was a specialty show – only six breeds and two judges.  Holland’s were judged by Brian Hartzell.  There was a small turn out for Holland’s as it wasn’t well known that there was a Specialty for them that day.  But those of us that were there had a good time chit-chatting while we waited our turn to show.

I took 15 Holland’s (only 2 seniors) that were entered in 5 of the 8 classes.  Amazingly, my ‘boys and girls’ won each of those five classes!   Here is how they did:

  • SSB – White River’s Arden – 1st (only 4 entries though, so he didn’t earn a leg).
  • SJB – GBF’s Caden – 1st, BOG, BOB – his first leg with a BOB!!
  • SJD – GBF’s Cadee – 1st.  Caden and Cadee are littermates.  This is Cadee’s first leg.
  • BJD – GBF’s Topeka – 1st, BOG, BOS – this is Topeka’s second BOS leg in two shows.
  • BJB – GBF’s Elias – 1st, BOSG – and to think I almost left him home because he is just a little guy!  His first leg.  He is 14 weeks old but has an awesome head, ear and crown placement on him.  Hopefully, his body will fill out well to match his already lovely head.  His sister Baron, was 2nd place to Topeka.

The next show we are planning on attending is the MSRBA show up in East Lansing, MI at the MSU Livestock Pavilion.  This is a big show with some major competition.  Saturday is the ‘show proper’, then Sunday hosts a double Holland Specialty and an Angora Specialty.
