GC GBF’s Topeka: My First Litter

Had a quick photo shoot today.  These are 3 of Topeka and Pistol Pete’s babes (there is a fourth solid tort, but he just refused to pose – he’s a leaner).  They are just shy of 3 months.  Do you notice a theme with the names??

GBF's Kimber (doe). Nice heavy bone.

Junior Pictures

Finally able to get some pictures taken… many still left to do, but here is a start on some of our young juniors that we have right now.  I seem to have a lot of does for a change!  Following pictures are all does:

GBF's Alameda (thf Saynora's Zorion x GBF's Quicksilver)

GBF's Brimstone (GBF's Indy x GBF's Simone)

GBF's Brimstone.

GBF's Surrey (Broo's Chase x L&R Sedalia)

GBF's Surrey.

GBF's Fernie (GBF's Pistol Pete x GBF's Petals)

GBF's Sydney (ARR's Angry Squirrel x Karrot Kreek's Quay)

GBF's Noir (SA's Magnum x GBF's Cadee)

GBF's Jello (GBF's Opie x Cox's Kinzee) - Cream doe. I call her Brooks, and Haley calls her Jello. What kind of name is "Jello"??

So Apropos!

This is Apropos (GBF’s Tobias x LL Avalanche).  She’s a Junior doe that I’ve been liking for awhile now.

Short!

Short, stubby legs.

I couldn't resist a head shot.

Great Rise.

Internet Finally Back!

Ahh!  I hate it when we lose our internet connection!  I had made all these changes to the website and taken lots of new pictures and couldn’t roll anything into production…. until this morning.  I feel so much better now.  Back in touch with the world!

I’ve been snapping pictures of our upcoming Juniors the last several mornings.  And here they are.  My very favorite doe (that I have a picture of anyway) is GBF’s Waterloo,  out of GBF’s Tobias x ELS Tallie.   This was a son back to mom breeding.

"GBF's Waterloo"

And this is her brother Wrigley:

"GBF's Wrigley"

Then,

GBF's Regina (ARR's Shimadzu x GBF's Pistol Pete) - BJD

GBF's Enderby (ARR's Shimadzu x GBF's Pistol Pete - SJB

GBF's Winkler (GBF's Tsunami x GBF's Tess) - BJB

GBF's Erin (GBF's Tsunami x GBF's Tess) - SJD

GBF's Tesla (GBF's Tsunami x GBF's Tess) - SJD

GBF's Winnipeg (GBF's Emmet x GBF's Baron) - she has the shortest little ears!

Winnipeg has the cutest face.

Junior Photo’s

As I continued cleaning cages yesterday, I stopped occasionally to take a break and snap some pictures of my upcoming juniors.  The one I am most excited about is GBF’s Taber (GBF’s Tyraid x L&R Donna):

GBF's Taber

He has just an excellent head and thick, rounded SHORT ears.  His crown has really nice side to side width, and front to back width.  Hopefully, as he matures, he will gain some height to it.  He is naturally upright and has splendid short, heavy boned legs.  He also has the smoothest body.  He reminds me of how Caden and Cadee felt as young juniors – plush.

His littermate sister, Courtenay, also has a very nice head package.  She isn’t as nice in the body as he is, but still a very pretty doe:

"What's over there?"

courtenay4

"Ooh. A yummy leaf."

LL Avalanche has a cute doe also, GBF’s Apropos sired by GBF’s Tobias, 1/2 brother to GBF’s Tyraid.  She is molting out of her baby coat right now, so she’s got the scruffies going on.  She too has a nice thick, well-rounded, short ear that I really like.  I also like her depth of shoulder.

apropos

GBF's Apropos at 11 weeks.

This is Apropos’ littermate brother, Hinrik.  He is cute, but doesn’t ‘have it going on’ like Taber does.  He is still young, so I’m going to hold on to him for a bit to see how he fills out.  At 11 weeks, he could still be doing the teen-ager thing.

A Few Pictures

harli

We’re going to start with this picture of Capsaicin x Dedekind’s little Harlequin baby.  He is just the cutest little stinker!  I can’t tell if he’s a buck or doe yet.  Another week or so and we should know!

GBF's Toronto

GBF's Toronto

This is one of  L&R Sedalia’s little bucks, sired by GBF’s Tobias.  There are 3 bucks and 1 doe in the litter and  Toronto is the only solid.  The others are all broken torts.  Tobias continues to put the bone on his offspring.

GBF's Courtenay

GBF's Nova Scotia

This is Toronto’s sister, Nova Scotia.  Love her short legs.

Seal Jr. Buck

GBF's Handsome Ransome - Seal Jr. Buck

Ransome is a  seal buck out of Plank’s Aqualena x GBF’s Houdini.   I’m actually pretty pleased with how he is turning out.  He has a full HQ and is very smooth.  And I like the curvature of his head – he isn’t snipey.  Nice length to his front legs also.  I have not seen many Seal colored Holland’s.  His grandsire is a Seal, ELS’s Ciaron.

GBF's Handsome Ransome from the top.

aqua-black-doe

This is his sister.  She is Black and carries either chl or REW.  She’s got a dip at the shoulder, but she’s not too shabby.  She will make a nice brood doe for anyone working on Shaded color projects – especially Siamese Sables.

Today’s Photo Shoot

Here are pictures of some of  our upcoming young Juniors.  These are the bucks (still need a picture of GBF’s Titus & Tiberius but it started raining):

GBF's Aesop (White River's Arden x Freeman's Cocoa)

GBF's Twain (GBF's Tobias x GBF's Hughette)

GBF's Twain (GBF's Tobias x GBF's Hughette)

I have very few does, but here are my more promising ones:

GBF's Catastrophe (GBF's Caden x THF Saynora's Charlee)

GBF's Catastrophe (GBF's Caden x THF Saynora's Charlee)

I LOVE Catstrophe’s short, tree stump front legs!!  She isn’t short bodied like I would prefer, but she’s a good starting point.  Her bone is good, her HQ is good.

GBF's Cazoo (ELS's Elden x L&R Cookie)

GBF's Cazoo (ELS's Elden x L&R Cookie)

I really like Cazoo’s short body and short, heavy front limbs.  Don’t like her head right now, but maybe it will develop into something prettier as she gets older.  Right now she has that haughty, better-then-thou look going on!

Prettier picture of Cazoo. Look at those stocky legs!

While I was taking pictures, the turkeys had to come and investigate the proceedings.  I’m not sure if they approved or not, but they let me continue!

Many of Tom's children.
